From our very first conversation, I could tell Craig was a sensitive soul & it was obvious Ashes to Ashes was more than just a business to him. Craig's gentle, respectful manner & generosity with his time fostered a genuine trust as he guided & encouraged all the way, with empathy, kindness, and patience. Unlike a generic package from a funeral company, it felt personal.
I'd describe Craig as 96% creative and 4% business. The thought & care he invested in the production of Liam’s Fireworks Finale made it seem more like a collaborative process than a commercial transaction.
Although the cost of Liam's fireworks tribute was comparable to a conventional funeral, the outcome was the opposite — expansive, liberating, exuberant. Rather than being sealed in a box or confined to an urn, Liam's ashes were launched to the stars, carried on the wind, scattered over the water - symbolic as well as practical.
Fireworks are universally celebratory and Liam's spectacular sendoff was the epitomy of joy. It left us with an uplifting memory, a powerful contrast to the sombre heaviness of traditional funerals.
Similarly, working with Craig bore no resemblance to dealing with a conventional funeral home whose services tend to dwell in grief and finality. The Ashes to Ashes ceremony was the polar opposite, honouring Liam with light, colour, and dynamic energy - a tribute reflecting his spirit & personality.

"My wife's last wish while in palliative care in her final days was to be cremated and have her ashes sent skyward in a spectacular firework's display.
Well done Craig, Kylie and the team from Ashes to Ashes deliver? It was spectacular and 4 weeks later I still meet people in the street who are talking about or over hear local chatter about how spectacular it the fireworks where, one even commenting they were better than the New Year's Eve Sydney fireworks. Those who were there were amazed and in awe of the colourful display that could be seen 2 suburbs way.

This was going to be something totally out of the box for us, when we were asked to do this for Tony. Send him up in a fireworks display.
But it evolved into a most enjoyable and rewarding relationship with Ashes to Ashes, the business, as well as Craig and his team.
Professionally executed, a careful eye to details, and a gentle walk through the entire process. Nothing was left to doubt about the entire adventure, and for all of us present it was an adventure.
This was exactly what Tony would have wanted, and more. We had the best time on the night, and we got to share the moment with all his friends as well.

It really is so hard to put into words the way I feel about your amazing insight into producing such an unforgettable way to say Goodbye to a loved one. It helps to ease the pain in one’s heart, you don’t come away from the event as sad as perhaps from a conventional funeral. Lisa would have been dancing in the sky and loving every minute of it. It is difficult to express, in words, how grateful we are for your understanding, support, and compassion in organising my daughter Lisa’s celebration of life.
Your efforts in facilitating the Ashes-to-Ashes fireworks, my daughter requested for her goodbye, was nothing short of inspirational Craig and Kylie were both so very patient and understanding given the continual interruptions between Qld and NSW, mainly due to strict COVID restrictions. They stayed connected on a regular basis reassuring me that everything would go as planned.
Kylie was amazing with helping with decisions I needed to make, nothing ever became a problem. This included assisting a tech deficient old lady who didn’t quite know how to use all the links on Facebook to notify all of Lisa’s international friends. One year to the day we finally arrived in Sydney to be able to fulfil my daughters wishes.
We finally met Craig and Kylie along with the very adorable Rigger (Craig’s dog) when they came to collect Lisa. You both complemented each other with your passion and love of the work you do, I was instantly at ease with your genuine and caring way. During our many conversations Ashes to Ashes organised everything to perfection from the candle lit pathway to the viewing spot at Balls Head Reserve.
The fireworks were outstanding and left everybody there in awe.
A perfect farewell, for Lisa was very much a free spirit with such a zest for life, she would have loved flying high over her beloved Sydney.
An amazing and moving experience, one which will stay with me, our family, and friends forever.

I can’t thank Craig enough for his support and organisation in getting us to an absolutely sensational evening to honour and celebrate my husband. From when our kids had always promised their grandma that they would blow her up in fireworks when she was gone, and she was only too happy to go along with that. When that day suddenly came, we had to find a way to help our kids keep their promise. We had no idea where to start, but found the details for Ashes to Ashes in an online search. Still not knowing what to expect or how to make this happen, we contacted Craig at Ashes to Ashes to find out more. Craig was very knowledgeable and helpful, and put together an amazing pyrotechnic tribute for us. He covered all the bases, including supplying the fireworks, getting all relevant permits and putting it all together with our choice of music. He even included the kids in the display, allowing them to push the buttons to kick it off. We were also given a video of the whole thing. It was truly amazing, and we are very thankful for the way Ashes to Ashes put it all together for us, enabling the kids to keep their promise to their Grandma.

Losing a child is unbelievably painful. As Elijah was in the Army, we discussed with his mates the best way to remember him. It was decided that we would blow him up, as this seemed the most appropriate. And we knew Elijah would get a kick out of it. We contacted Craig at Ashes to Ashes to discuss how we could do this. Craig was fantastic. He has an empathy that put our minds at ease. The fact that he took care of all the legal and notification requirements made the lead up far less stressful for us. On the day Craig and his team were professional, efficient and discreet. The fireworks were amazing, far better than anyone could have anticipated. We cannot thank Craig enough for providing such an epic send off for Elijah.

How do you say thank you to someone who made our sons final journey such a spectacular event. It was Rods last request that he be put in a rocket and send out over the Weir. How do we do that, simple, one phone call. Craig couldn't have been more understanding of our son's needs, we couldn't have chosen better. We didn't know what to expect, but as far as we are concerned, Craig and his boys, went above and beyond, enabling our son's wishes to come to fruition.
